Description

Magnificent single storey 6 bedroom villa, which is arranged as 3 self contained units with private heated swimming pool. Situated in a sought after area in the countryside a few minutes away from Espiche Golf Course.

This fabulous villa is set around the pool and pool terrace. It could quite easily be reverted back to a single family home or can continue to be run as a home or business.

The property is spacious, bright and airy and all rooms have double glazed patio doors opening onto the terraces. Reversible air conditioning units are in all the living areas. The main house, at the head of the impressive solar heated pool, has 3 bedrooms (all en suite), a fully fitted kitchen and lounge diner which opens out onto the raised main terrace which overlooks the pool and with views to the open countryside. There is a log burner in the lounge. The bedrooms all open onto private courtyards.

Attached and alongside is the 2 bedroom unit (both bedrooms are en suite). The bedroom terrace has views towards Espiche Golf and Monchique. It has a fully fitted kitchen and lounge diner opening out onto the terrace by the pool.

An independent one bedroom studio has kitchen facilities, a separate shower room and its own private courtyard. If not required as a bedroom it makes an ideal studio or office.

There is a substantial storage/multi-function building approx 50 metres from the main house and several small outbuildings/sheds.

Outside, the pool has terracing all around and overlooks the garden. In addition there is an excellent barbecue facility and a large seating area in the pretty main garden stocked with indigenous plants. A fully automatic irrigation system runs from the properties bore hole to most areas of the extended garden.

Western Algarve

The west of the Algarve is without doubt one of the most beautiful and authentic regions in all of Portugal.

With a thriving coastline, the western Algarve is the least urbanised region in Portugal, meaning it has a vibrant collection of nationally protected nature reserves and gorgeous beaches. The traditional fishing villages are effervescent with life and Portuguese culture, with the fresh seafood caught daily by local fishermen supplementing some of Portugal's finest seafood dining.

You can easily stroll across the shoreline and between villages by following one of the many footpaths.

How to Get There

For those travelling internationally, flying to Faro airport is the best option. Faro Airport lies just two and a half miles from Faro- the capital of the Algarve. If you're making your way to Lagos, you'll have to plan ahead for the 90km journey from Faro airport to Lagos.

While there's no public transport hub at Faro airport, Eva buses operate between the airport and Faro City, and from Faro City you can catch a bus or a train to Lagos. A bus takes approximately two hours and ten minutes to reach Lagos, and a train takes about one hour and fifty minutes.

You can make use of public transport or you could rent a car or jump in a cab to the Western Algarve which is under an hour.

Climate

The Algarve enjoys a warm climate which means that the weather remains mild and sunny all year round.

The region has an average of over 3,000 hours of sunny skies each year, making the Algarve the perfect destination no matter what month of the year it is.

Be Sure Not to Miss

Lagos – A historic and lively city, Lagos offers splendid beaches, a lovely historic centre and an abundance of sights and activities all around the city and its beaches. Just a few minutes south of the old town centre of Lagos, the Ponta da Piedade's cliffside beach stands as a must-see natural wonder.

Perfect as a base to travel from and explore the western Algarve, from its 4km long Meia Praia beach to the surrounding charming towns to plan day trips to, Lagos stands as an essential city to visit when in the western Algarve.

Odeceixe - At the most northern point of the Algarve's West Coast is the town of Odeceixe.

The quaint little town paints a picture of traditional Portugal with stone cobbled streets, a centuries old church and the still operational windmill at the very top of Odeceixe.

From the top of the windmill, visitors can take in the entire town.

Aljezur Castle - The castle offers fantastic views of the whole of Aljezur and the path up to the castle is filled with information boards relating to the castle's rich history. With a scenic walk up towards the castle, entry is free to see the magnificent ruins of the castle and read about its history.

From the top there are spectacular views of the Aljezur and Amoreira beaches, making the trip to Aljezur Castle both historically fascinating and visually breathtaking.

Golf in the Western Algarve

Portugal is full of great golf courses and the Western Algarve is no exception.
