BEACHFRONT LOCATION
An unbeatable location accommodates this amazing 6 bedroom villa, which is divided into two apartments right on the beach of Burgau. Each apartment has its own entrance and both are currently operating as very successful rental units.
At the front, you have a large sunny terrace overlooking the ocean and the cliffs.
On the main floor, you can find 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath, a living/dining area with a sea view, a kitchen with a spacious terrace, storage and a built in barbecue.
On the first floor, you can find another apartment with 3 bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with a shower, a living area where you can enjoy the sea view on the extended terrace and a kitchen with a dining area.
Outside there is an external staircase leading you to the large roof terrace with sitting areas, which offers views all over the beach of Burgau.
There are several restaurants and bars nearby.
The fishing village of Burgau is a very dynamic artistic area with chilled vibes and is situated on the coast between Lagos and Sagres. Like much of the western Algarve the little fishing village was largely undiscovered by the tourism industry until relatively recently. The village has somewhat spread out from the old centre but the new holiday accommodation is mostly low rise and inoffensive. As you head down towards the beach at Burgau the streets become cobbled and you soon find yourself among the jumble of whitewashed fishermen's cottages that make up the old village. You will know when you are almost on the beach as you will find little fishing boats moored up, lining the steeply sloped streets which double as slipways and a harbour.
Broadband is widely available in Portugal and is known as 'banda larga'. It is considered to function better than broadband services in the UK due to the fact that Portugal was one of the last countries to embrace broadband technology and thus has a system with newer design and technology. There are several service providers offering ADSL, fibre and wireless services in Portugal to the residential and the professional markets.

The west of the Algarve is without doubt one of the most beautiful and authentic regions in all of Portugal.
With a thriving coastline, the western Algarve is the least urbanised region in Portugal, meaning it has a vibrant collection of nationally protected nature reserves and gorgeous beaches. The traditional fishing villages are effervescent with life and Portuguese culture, with the fresh seafood caught daily by local fishermen supplementing some of Portugal's finest seafood dining.
You can easily stroll across the shoreline and between villages by following one of the many footpaths.
For those travelling internationally, flying to Faro airport is the best option. Faro Airport lies just two and a half miles from Faro- the capital of the Algarve. If you're making your way to Lagos, you'll have to plan ahead for the 90km journey from Faro airport to Lagos.
While there's no public transport hub at Faro airport, Eva buses operate between the airport and Faro City, and from Faro City you can catch a bus or a train to Lagos. A bus takes approximately two hours and ten minutes to reach Lagos, and a train takes about one hour and fifty minutes.
You can make use of public transport or you could rent a car or jump in a cab to the Western Algarve which is under an hour.
The Algarve enjoys a warm climate which means that the weather remains mild and sunny all year round.
The region has an average of over 3,000 hours of sunny skies each year, making the Algarve the perfect destination no matter what month of the year it is.
Lagos – A historic and lively city, Lagos offers splendid beaches, a lovely historic centre and an abundance of sights and activities all around the city and its beaches. Odeceixe - At the most northern point of the Algarve's West Coast is the town of Odeceixe.
The quaint little town paints a picture of traditional Portugal with stone cobbled streets, a centuries old church and the still operational windmill at the very top of Odeceixe.
From the top of the windmill, visitors can take in the entire town.
Aljezur Castle - The castle offers fantastic views of the whole of Aljezur and the path up to the castle is filled with information boards relating to the castle's rich history. With a scenic walk up towards the castle, entry is free to see the magnificent ruins of the castle and read about its history.
From the top there are spectacular views of the Aljezur and Amoreira beaches, making the trip to Aljezur Castle both historically fascinating and visually breathtaking.
